Pekin Bantam Club of South Australia
The Pekin Club is a specialist breed club re-formed in 2007 to promote the showing
& breeding of the Pekin Bantam with members from around SA & Broken Hill.
An Annual Show is held, this year in conjunction with the YPP&PC to be held on
Sunday August 2nd at the Maitland Showgrounds.
The inaugural show in 2007 attracted over 120 exhibits & we anticipate 150 to
200 birds lining up at the 2009 Championship show.
The quality of Pekins shown in SA is very strong, regularly taking out Champion
Bird in show & other major awards, including the 2008 Adelaide Royal Show.
New members are most welcome.
Anybody interested in joining the club can contact the Secretary, who can also put
you in touch with members who have show or breeding stock available.
We may also be able to assist other clubs who are willing to feature the Pekin
breed at their Club or Regional show.
